MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Canadian Solar is seeking a Field Technician to support our newly released residential battery storage system as well as our inverters.

As a Field Technician your main task will be to support our customers with the installation of Canadian Solar’s power electronic products. 

You will be part of a talented team consisting of technicians and engineers who offer in-house advise and support to their colleagues as well as premium service towards our customers. 

Main Tasks  

  • Provide installation support and training (remotely & onsite).
  • Provide technical expertise and support to ensure Canadian Solar’s inverters as well as the newly released residential energy storage system correctly functions with various microinverters, DC PV, AC coupled PV inverters, generators, and EV car chargers.
  • Provide remote (online & phone) support to installers by presenting visual training aids, manuals, and other documents.
  • Travel to residential customer project sites throughout Italy to support Canadian Solar’s power electronics products.
  • Available to take calls from installers and end customers to answer questions.
  • Works closely with Sales team, Technical Support Engineers, and Customer Service Department.

LOCATION
  • Munich based - or remote in Germany or in Italy
Your backpack is filled with
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in providing technical support & solutions within the Solar PV and/or Battery Energy Storage Systems space.
  • Experience providing technical consumer and installer customer service/support.
  • Understanding electrical, and industry terminology.
  • Ability to use / communicate using Microsoft Office, email, Teams, and cell phone between customers, installers, OEM installers as well as with Canadian Solar personnel.
  • Valid driver license, required.
