PROJECT & CONTRACT MANAGER TURNKEY C&I STORAGE SOLUTIONS (m/f/d)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Project & Contract Manager to manage full-cycle turnkey projects in the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Storage Solutions sector. You will play a key role in executing our new turnkey solution business in Europe, focusing on small to mid-sized commercial and industrial solar and storage installations. 

Your responsibilities include planning, evaluating, directing, and coordinating with the turnkey team to meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. To be successful in this position, you should have strong project management skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management:
  • Create detailed plans, budgets, and timelines for all projects under execution in the CSI turnkey portfolio, ensuring effective management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Motivate and maintain clear communication with the turnkey team, customers, and suppliers, staying responsive to changes as projects progress.
  • Clearly communicate overall objectives and individual project goals, providing direction on tasks, responsibilities, and priorities for the turnkey team.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers, providing updates on project progress and acting as the spokesperson for external stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of contract details into the CRM system, maintaining up-to-date records.
  • Ensure all team members understand their roles and can perform tasks effectively in line with customer contracts. Identify and analyze issues during project execution, developing objective solutions to maintain project momentum.
  • Facilitate effective cross-functional coordination between Canadian Solar HQ, local departments (Legal, Finance, Tech, Logistics, and Sales Operations), and customers to ensure smooth contract execution.
  • Lead and motivate the turnkey team strategically and operationally, fostering collaboration, evaluating team performance, and resolving conflicts.
  • Respond to customer needs and adjust project plans as necessary to ensure successful delivery.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on ongoing projects, demand trends, and regional performance, assessing risks during project planning and execution.
  • Participate in planning and forecasting meetings to ensure compliance with action plans for ongoing projects.
  • Support the Director Turnkey by reviewing and analyzing data to provide monthly and quarterly updates on sales, demand planning, and strategic sales activities.
Contract Management:
  • Work closely with the legal team to draft contracts that align with project scope, customer requirements, and company policies.
  • Review large-scale sales contracts, identifying key deadlines, risks, action items, and obligations.
  • Support the creation, revision, and approval of contract amendments.
  • Simplify and clearly communicate contract terms to clients and other stakeholders in layman’s terms.
  • Proofread, edit, and fact-check legal documents for accuracy, consistency, and compliance. 
  • Prepare back-to-back contracts with third-party suppliers and service providers to meet contract requirements.

LANGUAGES
  • Fluent in English (German or other European languages would be a plus)

Your backpack is filled with

  • 10+ years of practical experience in project management across various industries and project sizes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or engineering.
  • PMP certification from a reputable institution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to influence while maintaining a customer-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, SAP, MS Project, MS Office, PowerBI, and relevant PMP software tools.
  • Industry-relevant operations and planning experience
